Honoring a legacy of warmth and gracious hospitality
The new Cloister at Sea Island embodies the warmth, graciousness and history of the original Cloister Hotel. Our interior architecture was inspired by the famed architect Addison Mizner. Located on Georgia’s coastline, The Cloister is considered to be one of the world’s most luxurious resort properties. Antiques found in Paris flea markets, and from exclusive dealers in England, Morocco and around the world, highlight the history of this beautiful resort property. Rugs were custom designed and made in Turkey, and are used throughout the resort in public spaces and guest rooms. Lighting fixtures were also custom designed to fit the era of influence, as well as the grand spaces. Fabrics were woven in antique patterns, some on their original 400-year-old looms in England. Truly a remarkable and livable historic design well suited to today’s resort guest.
